SCHUCO has arrived in the world of MODEL RAILWAYS!
The first appearance in Cologne was an out-and-out success for the model specialist!

The MODEL RAILWAY captivated around 79,000 people who visited the fair between 4th and 7th November. Included in this number were many families and enthusiasts from other countries.

The 79,000 model railway fans were treated to the greatest happiness in the world with thousands of kilometres of track in the Cologne at the 11th Modellbahn, the world’s largest international fair featuring model railways and accessories, toys and hobbies.

For the first time, SCHUCO had its own stand at the MODELLBAHN which takes places every two years.  Here, in addition to its classic range of models, it also presented Piccolos, motorbikes (on a scale of 1:10), 1:43 miniatures (including tractors) and, above all, 1:87 models from the “SCHUCO EDITION H0 1:87” range, which has developed magnificently since its introduction well over two years ago.  As a special treat, this year’s Autumn-Winter releases were presented for the first time. The response of the public interested in our stand was tremendous. The SCHUCO team members were rushed off their feet answering questions and responding to suggestions.

The absolute highlight was the special edition fair truck (on a scale of 1:87) limited to 1,000 pieces.

The Peterbilt 377 box semi-trailer truck model “MODELLBAHN 2004” was available at a special exhibition price of  €10 from the SCHUCO and VEDES stands. The stock was sold out by midday on the last day of the fair!

The next “MODELLBAHN”, which SCHUCO will of course attend, will take place from 9-12 November 2006.
