On 22 and 23 May, the 7th meeting to discuss old methods in agricultural engineering took place in the Sinsheim exhibition centre. This event has now become Germany’s largest in this area of interest.  The special focus at Traktorama this year was on the manufacturers Eicher and Fahr. The organisers gave an extremely pleasing report. More than 12,000 visitors, an increase of more than 10% on the previous year, flooded through the four exhibition halls to admire more than 1,200 farm machines, tractors, bulldog tractors and agricultural equipment.

SCHUCO was at Traktorama with its own stand for the first time this year having achieved great success in recent years with historic tractors.

In addition to the overall tractor model range (including the new releases for 2004), we also exhibited the new model releases for cars, trucks and buses produced on a scale of 1:43 and 1:10 motorbikes and Piccolos. A set of documentation was particularly interesting which showed the development of a tractor model from its initial inception right up to delivery using the example of the Lanz Eilbulldog. Interest in the SCHUCO models was particularly acute in the context of the first “Modelltraktorama” event. This first appearance by Schuco at the fair was an enormous success and Schuco team members collected many suggestions for new models to take back to headquarters.

The weekend of 7-8 May 2005, when Traktorama will open its doors once again with the special themes of “The myth of Porsche” and “The small giants”, is already a fixed date in Schuco’s diary.
