The GTK “Boxer” is a light-wheeled tank developed by the German company ARTEC GmbH. The name GTK stands here for “armoured transport vehicle”. The 8-wheeled boxer can be deployed as a troop transporter, ambulance or as a command vehicle. A special feature of this 4-wheel-drive vehicle is its modular construction. It consists of a driving module and a mission module adapted for the particular deployment purpose. Due to its high level of protection and weaponry — with its heavy machine gun, for instance — the Boxer represents an ideal mission vehicle for infantry forces. With an engine power of 720 HP, the Boxer reaches a maximum speed of just over 100 kilometres per hour, with a maximum range of over 1,000 kilometres. Its crew consists of up to 10 soldiers. Schuco is going to produce a miniature model of this Boxer to a scale of 1:87. Military models come with a metal body and chassis. As is expected of Schuco models, a number of key features have been reproduced exactly with the greatest attention to detail.
