It was the dream of almost every bike-crazy boy in the early 1970’s to own a moped from Zündapp, Kreidler or Hercules. The K 50 RL, produced in the former motorcycle stronghold of Nuremberg, already gave its lucky owners a real motorcycle feeling with its 49 cc, 1-cylinder 2-stroke engine – and this already from the age of 16. With its 6.25 HP, the K 50 RL reached an official maximum speed of at least 85 km per hour. Examples that were running well frequently reached the sound limit of 100 km/h. To be sure, with a list price in 1975 of 2,575 German marks and an annual insurance premium of around 1,500 marks, a moped was no cheap pleasure. The Hercules K 50 RL is a brand highlight in the high quality and precision performance Classic Motorcycle Edition 1:10 from Schuco. The series meets the highest quality standards and wows fans with its authentic high-gloss finish. Features such as rotating wheels and fully functional suspension are an integral part of these models and have established them as a firm favourite with motorcycle enthusiasts.
