MB Unimog U1600 grey 1:32

450775300

€69.99

Originally developed as an „Universal-Motor-Gerät“, the Unimog was, to begin with, intended exclusively for use in agriculture. Mass produced from 1949, this true jack of all trades was very quickly adopted in agriculture, forestry, in the military field and for local authority tasks. Initially produced at Boehringer GmbH in Göppingen, production was transferred to Gaggenau in 1951. Since 2002, the Unimog range has been manufactured in the Daimler-Benz utility vehicle factory in Wörth. Equipped with numerous functions, the Schuco metal model to a scale of 1:32 represents a Mercedes-Benz Unimog 1600 that, with its rather angular design, was introduced in 1974.

NSU Quickly N CUSTOM I 1:10

450662900

€79.99

"With more than 1.5 million units built, the NSU Quickly, like the VW Beetle, was one of the driving forces behind the development of mass motorization during the German economic miracle of the 1950s. Presented for the first time at the International Bicycle and Motorcycle Exhibition (IFMA) in 1953, by the end of 1954 more than 100,000 Quickly‘s had already been delivered to their enthusiastic customers, who with their mopeds and a comparatively low power output of 1.4 hp and a consumption of less than 2 liters were nevertheless quite nippy and yet extremely economical on the road. With cheeky advertising slogans like „Don‘t run anymore, buy a Quickly!“ or „Good things come to those who have a Quickly!“ the NSU advertising department had additionally ensured a lot of sympathy for the little two-wheeler. Today, the Quickly has long since become a cult object for many, younger motorcycle and moped enthusiasts. A real customizing scene has developed around this cult moped. Taking this development into account, Schuco now presen the NSU Quickly Custom I in 1/10th scale. Produced in a unique limited edition of 1000 pieces, the NSU Quickly Custom I will provide a fresh and youthful wind in the model showcases.

Porsche started to develop its first racing car in 1952 at its headquarters in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. This culminated in the launc of the Porsche 550 Spyder, which was based on the specs of the Porsche 356. This mid-engined car was equipped with a lightweight metal chassis and sported a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder boxer engine known as the ‘Fuhrmann’ engine. Weighing just 550 kg, the Porsche 550 Spyder helped the fledgling brand to develop its reputation as a manufacturer of lightweight, reliable and efficient sports cars. At the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955, the 550 Spyder was driven by the racing duo Polenski/von Frankenberg, who came fourth overall and first in the 1500 ccm vehicle class. Due to very high demand from racing drivers and well-heeled Porsche enthusiasts from the US, the 550 Spyder soon received approval for road use and could be ordered for 24,600 German marks at Porsche dealers   Warning! In its time, the „02“ completed the bottom end of the BMW range and until its production was stopped in 1977, was the biggest selling BMW of the 70s. The sparsely equipped Speedster was developed at the suggestion of the German-American Max Hoffmann, the Porsche importer for the United States at the time. Incidentally, it was Max Hoffmann who, during a dinner, convinced Ferry Porsche to create a memorable brand emblem for his sports cars in order to enhance the brand identity. The result of his efforts was the Porsche Crest that is so famous today.

Developed in the 1930s by the Porsche design office in Stuttgart on behalf of the government, the Volkswagen became the most built automobile in the world during its 65-year production period, overtaking the previous record holder, the Ford T-Model known as the "Tin Lizzy". The "Beetle", whose most outstanding technical features were its streamlined shape, which was revolutionary at the time, the air-cooled 4-cylinder boxer engine, its novel platform frame and the newly developed torsion bar suspension, was subjected to a constant development and improvement process over the years. Thus, it is documented that no less than 78,000 technical changes were made to the VW Beetle between 1948 and 1974. In 1954, Heinrich Nordhoff, the former general manager of Volkswagen, said at a VW Beetle meeting: "We are convinced that salvation does not lie in even the most daring and grandiose new designs, but rather in the very consistent and never satisfied further development of even the smallest detail to the point of maturity and perfection, which is precisely what brings about the truly surprising success.

Founded in 1883 in Pilsting as an agricultural machinery factory, Hans Glas GmbH of Dingolfing entered the lucrative two-wheel business at the start of the 1950s with the production of its Goggo scooter. A small car known as the Goggomobil was then launched in 1955 with great success, offering space for two adults and two children and costing 3,000 DM. In the years that followed, Glas evolved more and more into a serious manufacturer of cars. This led to the launch of the Glas 2600 V8 at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) in 1965. A very elegant coupé with coachwork designed by Frua and a V8 engine developed by the Glas company itself. This beautiful sports coupé, also nicknamed the „Glaserati“, unfortunately did not prove to be a commercial success and consequently Glas was sold to BMW AG in 1966. There, production of the coupé continued for a while as the BMW Glas 3000 V8 after some minor revisions were made to the design and features.

It was a true all-rounder - the classic ladder truck as it was used in agriculture for much of the 19th century. Traditionally, a ladder wagon was made of wood, had two axles, a drawbar and its sloping side walls were shaped like a classic ladder. Initially pulled by horses, cows or oxen, the ladder wagon was mainly used for harvesting straw, hay and grain. Due to the quickly removable ladders, this versatile transport vehicle could also be used for transporting wood and other bulky goods. For the transport of dung, woode boards were simply placed in front of the ladders and the dung cart was ready.

Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo. Extreme proportions, sensual contours and precise graphics merge to create a vehicle that makes breathtaking performance a visual experience. This is the description of this study on the Mercedes-Benz homepage. And there is no more apt description of this vehicle, which was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2013. The Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo was developed as a visionary concept of a super sports car for the PlayStation racing game Gran Turismo 6 and, as a finely detailed small-series model in the increasingly important 1:64 collector scale, is both an extremely decorative individual piece and a great addition to any sports car and Mercedes-Benz collection.

From 1955 onwards it was an important task to equip the new German army with reliable 5-ton trucks. From mid-1958 the Daimler-Benz 315 was exclusively produced with the standard driver’s cab and a folding soft top. The long-bonnet vehicle was powered by a 6-cylinder multifuel engine with a capacity of 8276 ccm and output of 145 BHP. Its unladen weight was a respectable 7.7 tons. A few of the LG 315s were also used as TLF 2400 tank fire-fighting vehicles at German military airports.

In many countries of the Middle East and Africa it is still in use today and is still regarded there as a symbol of the powerful and reliable Mercedes-Benz truck - the Mercedes-Benz L911, better known as the "Mercedes short truck". As early as the end of the 1940s, the trend in automobile design became apparent, away from the classic lines with long engine hood and free-standing fenders - towards the modern pontoon shape. This applied to the development of both passenger cars and trucks. For this reason, the shape of conventional hooded trucks also evolved toward a more modern design similar to the pontoon shape. The Opel Blitz, which was presented as early as 1952, was considered a trendsetter at the time, and several truck manufacturers took its typical appearance as a model. Daimler-Benz AG took account of this development and also of the length and weight restrictions for trucks introduced at the time in favor of freight transport by the German Federal Railroad, and in 1959 introduced the Mercedes-Benz L322 and L327, the very successful truck series still known today as the "Kurzhauber".

The Triumph TR5 was the successor model to the TR4A, and appeared in the summer of 1967. This roadster, which was designed by Michelotti, only differed from its predecessors externally by additional chrome trim on the sides and several other small details. However, beneath the long bonnet of the TR5 there was now a long-stroke inline 6-cylinder engine with a capacity of 2.5 litres and output of 143 BHP. From July 1967 to September 1968, just 2,947 examples of this classic old-school British roadster were manufactured. The vehicle is now rare with the optional and particularly visually appealing “Surrey Top”.
