July 4, 1954 is not only the day of the so-called „Miracle of Bern“ for German sport. On this day, Mercedes-Benz also returned to the international Grand Prix race tracks with its Silver Arrows Type W196. At the French Grand Prix in Reimes on that day, Mercedes-Benz achieved an impressive triple victory with the streamlined version of the W196 and subsequently won the world championship in 1954 and 1955 with the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio as driver. As a tribute to this unique Mercedes-Benz racing car, Schuco is now releasing the Schuco Studio VII in a limited edition of 1000 as construction kit.
