race transporter PORSCHE 1:64

race transporter PORSCHE 1:64

€34.99

In the early days of motor sport, racing cars were still transported under their own steam to races in Le Mans and Monza or to the Targa Florio or the Mille Miglia. However, the increasing professionalism of motor sport in the 1950s and the growing amount of equipment which was needed led the racing teams of the day to start using transport vehicles. In the mid-60s, Porsche came up with the idea for two transport vehicles that were specially designed to meet the requirements of motor sport and able to transport the additionally required engines, gearboxes and chassis parts. The technical basis for the new Porsche racing transporter was the Mercedes-Benz O317 underfloor-engine bus, produced between 1957 and 1972. Its self-supporting design meant it was ideal for the complex conversion by the Stuttgart-based company Robert Schenk.

The MAN 630 L2A and MAN 630 L2AE variants of the MAN 630 were subsequently delivered to the Bundeswehr starting in 1958. The L2AE variant was equipped with single tyres. Approximately 20,000 models of this variant were purchased by the Bundeswehr. Charkow T-150 K red 1:32

In countries of the former Eastern bloc, the T-150 K is still a widespread tractor the development of which was started at the end of the 1960s. With its engine layout and, above all, the typical articulated steering, it is very similar to the larger and more powerful Kirovets K-700. The T-150 K was produced in the Kharkiv Tractor Plant, which, when production started in 1972, still belonged to the Soviet Union and now belongs to Ukraine. Very reliable because of its extremely robust design, from the mid-70s, this tractor was also imported in large quantities to the former GDR. Thus it was that, in 1988, over 2,500 of the T-150 K were to be found in the inventory of the agricultural production collectives of the GDR   Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

Kirovets K700, grey 1:32

€149.00

Its dimensions alone make the Kirovets K-700 all, wheel drive tractor something special at every tractor meeting and, of course, in every tractor collection. Developed from the end of the 50s by the Russian manufacturer, Kirovets, the first prototype of the K-700 left the factory gates in Leningrad in July 1962. Between 1962 and 1975, well over 100,000 K-700s were produced. With an 8-cylinder diesel engine, developing 215 hp, sand centre-pivot steering, from 1968, the numbers exported to the GDR were also not insignificant. Known for its extreme reliability and very efficient, especially on large agricultural areas, using a K-700 could triple productivity compared with the Fortschritt ZT 300. However, to be able to make the best, economical use of a Kirovets K-700 in the state-controlled agriculture of the GDR, separate fields had to be joined up to form large acreages. It was also calculated that a K-700 had to be worked for at least 1400 hours per year to be profitable. Since this was impossible with single-shift working, a two-shift system was introduced for agricultural production collectives equipped with the K-700.

Porsche 934 RSR Monaco blue 1:18

Porsche 934 RSR Monaco blue 1:18

€99.00

In the mid-seventies, in order to be able to offer a Porsche racing car capable of winning according to the FIA regulations of Group 4 and the associated competitions of the German Motor Racing Championship, the American IMSA GT series and the World Sportscar Championship, the Porsche 934 was developed. At the same time, the Zuffenhausen company also developed the Porsche 935 for Group 5 and the Porsche 936 for Group 6 of the World Sportscar Championship. While the 935 and 936 were originally only intended for use by the Porsche works team, the Porsche 934 was also to be offered to private racing stables. Because of the Group 4 regulations, only very limited changes to the bodywork relative to a production car were allowed. Thus, the riveted wing extensions and the front skirt extended close to the ground and with large air inlets are the most visible characteristics distinguishing the car from the Porsche 930 Turbo on which it is based. The painstakingly hand-produced Schuco model of the Porsche 934 has numerous functions and, with its many racing details, is an invitation to a real voyage of discovery through the racing technology of the 1970s.

It was a true all-rounder - the classic ladder truck as it was used in agriculture for much of the 19th century. Traditionally, a ladder wagon was made of wood, had two axles, a drawbar and its sloping side walls were shaped like a classic ladder. Initially pulled by horses, cows or oxen, the ladder wagon was mainly used for harvesting straw, hay and grain. Due to the quickly removable ladders, this versatile transport vehicle could also be used for transporting wood and other bulky goods. For the transport of dung, woode boards were simply placed in front of the ladders and the dung cart was ready.

VW T4a CALIFORNIA red 1:43

€44.99

With the launch of the Volkswagen T4 Transporter series in August 1990, the era of rear-wheel drive and rearengined VW Transporters finally came to an end. While in the predecessor T1, T2 and T3 series the engine was housed in the rear of the vehicle, the completely redesigned VW T4 now featured a transverse front engine that drove the front wheels. In particular, this had the considerable advantage that the VW Transporter, like most of its competitors, now also had a lower-lying, continuous load area. This continuous load area was an extremely important sales argument and was quickly reflected in the sales success of the T4. In addition to the purely commercial version of the Transporter which was mainly used by business customers and public agencies, the Multivan and Camping versions were particularly popular with private individuals. Thanks to a very practical and well thought-out interior, these vehicles offered a considerable degree of comfort on long journeys, were ideal for recreational trips and, thanks to the redesigned chassis and compact exterior dimensions, provided car-like ride comfort.
